The Global Studies major is designed for students with a particular interest in culture and in learning about the diversity of human behavior. The major also offers a Departmental Honors Track (see below). In addition to the CORE Requirements and General Education Requirements, students will take additional upper division coursework in anthropology as well as an upper division course in international politics. The major prepares students for working and living in different cultural settings, as well as for graduate school.

1 Capstone research project must be conducted independently and completed on an approved international topic, and receive a minimum grade of B+ to earn departmental honors.

Departmental Honors

Students must earn a B+ or higher grade in Independent Research or Capstone Seminar (INTL 197 or POLS 189)*, and have a Pacific cumulative and major/program grade point average of 3.5 in order to earn the bachelor of arts degree in global studies with departmental honors.
